Privacy Policy

This policy describes the personal information this host actually handles. The publisher is American Wagering, Inc.

Introduction

The site is aimed at adults in Alberta. The law that frames this policy is Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act, and the federal Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act where it still applies. AGLC standards matter to registered operators. They are described here so you can see which of them this host does not carry out.

Data Controller

The publisher of this host is the controller. Its legal name is American Wagering, Inc. Its registered office is Las Vegas, Nevada, United States. Write to support@lberta1.slonik.store. No privacy officer has been appointed for this address.

Personal Information Collected

Information comes from you, when you register, write, or set a limit, and from the server, as a session and a short log of failed logins. It does not come from a data broker, a geolocation vendor, or a payment company.

Account Registration

Registration asks for your name, email, password, date of birth, the province Alberta, a statement that you are in Alberta, and acceptance of the terms. A marketing note is optional and is not a condition of the account. If you refuse the required fields, the account is not created. The password is stored only as a hash. No confirmation email is sent.

Identity Verification

This host does not collect a copy of a driver’s licence, passport, or other identity document. It does not send your details to a verification company. It does not decide that you are “verified”. Age is taken from the date of birth you type and from the age gate on the browser. That is not a Know Your Customer check. A registered operator who does run that check will name the documents and the vendor in its own policy.

Payment Information

No card number, Interac secret, bank account, or wallet identifier is collected, because no payment is processed. There is no payment organization receiving data from this host. If a payment method is added later, this section will name it before it is used.

Gaming Activity

No game is launched, so there is no stake, result, or jackpot to store. The account can store the limit, break, and self-exclusion you set. Those are choices, not a history of play.

Geolocation Data

The browser is not asked for location. The server does not look up your IP address against a map. The only place statement is the one you check at registration.

Device Information

The session cookie identifies the login. Failed-login counters are stored against a hash of the email, not against a device fingerprint. No advertising identifier is collected.

Cookies

Essential cookies are the age choice (ad_age, 365 days), the cookie choice (ad_consent, 180 days), and the session (ad_sid, until the browser closes). The cookie policy lists them. Analytics and marketing are optional choices stored in the consent cookie. No advertising frame is embedded in the page.

Analytics

No outside analytics vendor is installed. Accept All stores analytics as allowed. If a vendor is added later, it stays off until that choice is on, and this section will name it first.

Third-Party Services

Pages link out to AGLC, AiGC, GameSense, 211, the Responsible Gambling Council, and selfexclusion.ca. Following a link is a visit to that site under its own policy. This host does not pass your account to them.

Data Sharing

Messages and account rows stay on this server. They are not sold. They are not sent to a payment company, a game provider, or an advertising network. A legal demand that actually binds this host would be answered to the extent the law requires, and the demand itself would be the reason. Staff or a host who can read the server can see the files. That is access for operating the site, not a separate product.

Data Retention

Periods below are rules of this website unless a statute is named. The clock starts on the day given.

  • Account row, including a closed account: five years from the end of the calendar year in which the account was closed, or from the end of the year of the last login if it was never closed. The row is kept so a closure or an exclusion can still be honoured.
  • Self-exclusion: the exclusion period, then five years from the end of the year in which it ended. An exclusion with no end date stays while it has no end date.
  • Messages from the contact form: two years from the day the message was stored.
  • Password-reset records: 60 minutes, then the token is useless. The mail log that holds an unsent link is kept for one year from the request, because mail is not sent and the log is the only copy.
  • Failed-login counters: cleared on a successful login, or left to expire with the lock. The lock lasts 15 minutes.
  • Age and consent cookies: the periods in the cookie policy, counting from the day you choose.
  • Server error logs, if the host keeps them: up to twelve months. That period is the host’s ordinary practice and is named here as this site’s expectation.

User Rights

You can ask what is held, ask for a correction, or ask for a copy. Write to support@lberta1.slonik.store from the email on the account, or quote the message number, so the request can be tied to the row. Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act gives an organization 45 days to respond, with a possible extension the Act describes. This desk uses that 45-day period. If a request is refused, the reply will say why and how to complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta. There is no automated decision that approves a payment or a verification, because those decisions are not made here. Limits you set are applied by the rule you chose, not by a score.

Data Security

Passwords are hashed. Session cookies are HttpOnly. Private JSON is wrapped so a direct request does not print it. No card data is stored because none is collected. You should use a password you do not use elsewhere. A breach that exposes account data would be described to the people affected and, where the Act requires it, to the Commissioner.

Contact Information

Privacy questions go to support@lberta1.slonik.store or the contact form, subject “General Inquiry”, with the words “personal information” in the message. Use subject “Responsible Gambling” if the question is about a break or an exclusion rather than about the file itself.

Policy Updates

A material change is posted on this page at least 14 days before it applies. That notice period is a rule of this website. The date at the top of the stored copy is the date the file was published with the site. Continued use of the account after the date means the new text applies to new actions. A limit or an exclusion already stored keeps the rule that was in place when you set it.
